Our managers read through 'The Positive Effect" we let them use the Live Purposely, Lead Positively workbook as self-development self led tool, we pulled the inspiration cards periodically in our manager communication channels. We then held a manager meeting and discussed the three pillars ACT, for Accept, we discussed bias and our ego I could see the managers have break throughs, for CREATE we made a vision board around sales targets, and focused on positive language versus negative, and for TEACH we focused on the activity in the workbook write a letter to your mentor and refected on how their assistant managers would feel about their leadership. This was impactful and showed them how they impact results through positive leadership.

I had the opportunity to have a development planning session with April to set my career goals for the year. Prep work included a self-appraisal alongside determining my top two competencies to plan to develop. In the past, development plans I have written were general, high-level, and geared toward end results. It is rare to find an individual like April who is both equally talented as both a trainer facilitator and program designer.
